Meet The Editor
Meet Jackie Stevenson Carpenter,CCM, the editor of the Private Club Advisor! Jackie has been in the hospitality industry for 16 years, including 10 years with private clubs. Her club work has included Cordillera in Vail, CO, Wakonda Club, Des Moines, IA, Dallas Country Club, Dallas, TX, where she was the Clubhouse Manager for three years, and the Nashville City Club, where she was the Director of Club Experiences.
Jackie is a member of the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) and earned her Certified Club Manager designation from the association in 2010. She has a bachelor’s degree in hotel and restaurant management from Iowa State University, Ames, IA, and a master’s degree in hospitality management from the University of North Texas, Denton, TX.
In addition to her club background, Jackie brings unique marketing and lecturing experience to the PCA environment. She has spoken at the CMAA National Conference and CMAA local chapter meetings, as well as several universities and conferences of the Professional Club Marketing Association, which targets membership directors of private clubs. Jackie also has worked with The Extraordinary Leader Program, an educational process which enhances leadership skills in private clubs and other organizations. This position has enabled her to forge strong relationships throughout the club industry.
Jackie’s professional experience, enthusiasm, engaging personality and wide-ranging contacts in the club industry brings exciting new perspectives to the position of PCA editor.
Eldon Miller, who was the founding editor of the PCA, continues to serve as editor-at-large.
